Athlon Optics is developed an impressive rifle scope with the Ares BTR Gen2 4.5-27×50 APRS5 with a six fold zoom range. And zooming is very smooth, thanks to an extremely small mechanism tolerance of just +/- 0.0001 mm. The wide zoom range makes this rifle scope very versatile and by making use of a reticle in the first focal plane, the MIL subtensions are true at every magnification.

The stainless steel turrets can be adjusted in clicks of 0.1 MIL (MRAD) and adjust the reticle 10 MIL over a full rotation. The total adjustment range of both elevation and windage is 24 MIL. A zero-stop helps you intuitively find the set zero, even in total darkness. The reticle is illuminated and brightness can be altered with a rotating dial, located on the same turret as the side focus. Parallax is adjustable from 25 yards (24 metre) until infinity.

The lenses of the Athlon Optics Ares BTR Gen2 4.5-27×50 APRS5 rifle scope are fully multi-coated for a sharp and clear view. An extra XPL coating protects the outer lenses against dirt, oil and scratches. To prevent internal fogging when temperature changes occur, the rifle scope if filled with argon.
